Too much time with mom!

Hunter was in awe of my newly polished toenails. He kept asking me if it hurt to put that stuff on them? I told him no. He then asked me if he could have his polished. I said, "Well Hunt, that's pretty much for girls to do." He said, "But I love you and if you love someone that means you have to do what they do. So I want that stuff on my toes!" So I whispered, "I'll put it on your little toe and that's it."  He said, "But I want it on all my toes!" I told him that I was sure his dad wouldn't like it on one toe, let alone all of them!  Yes, I think this is what happens when boys are with their mom most of the time! Sounds like some father son time is in order!! hahaha

Two phones!!

Wow, today was a busy day for funny sayings!! Len was putting contacts in his new phone and using his old phone to look at the names and numbers. Hunter walked in and says, "Why are you using two phones? That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard of!"

When I was baby.....

Alright, so I have yet another Hunter "When I was a baby..." story.  I'm not going to elaborate as I think his story says it all!   "When I was a baby I could fart out of my nose!"

Run!!!

As Len was making the boys there Lemonade/Rock stand, he offered to show me how to use the Scroll saw since I have always wanted to use one! So as I'm getting ready to cut, the boys are painting and I hear Dom tell Hunter; "Moms gonna cut! We have to get outta here!" And they grabbed the paints and wood and ran across the yard!! I could smell the fear!! :)

Ripoff!!!

Hunter is playing the original Super Mario Brothers for the Gameboy and he comes out all mad and says, "This game is such a rip off!" I ask him why and he says "Because they just start you wherever they want! Its just a rip off!" Then he takes the game out and walks off shaking his head.

Percy does what??

Hunter has had a DVD called "Percy takes the Plunge" for ages. He has never wanted to watch it. Today he was looking at it and said very excitedly, "Mom! I think I really want to watch 'Percy takes a dump' now!" I corrected him and told him that Percy isn't taking a dump but rather he is taking "the plunge".  Of course, with two boys, that got a lot of laughs!

Toss and Turtle

Hunter couldn't fall asleep and wanted to lay with Dominic to fall asleep.  So he asked Dom if he could. Dom said, "No." So I went to ask Dominic if he would let Hunter lay with him until he fell asleep and then I would move Hunter back to his own bed. Dominic said, "I really don't want him to lay here because I toss and turtle all night long and I'll probably kick him!" 

Note: He did let Hunter lay there just until he fell asleep then Mom had to go move him! Tossing and Turtleing is rough!! :) 

Doms Birthday Cake

Dominic turned 8 on July 15th!! Crazy since it seems like yesterday I was bringing him home in a panic wondering if I could really take care of this little guy! :) For his birthday he wanted a Pacman cake. Ahhh simple I thought...but almost too simple so I decided to add a few more elements to it! Pacman of course, but also a Ghost and Power Pellets. His reaction made the time and work SO worth it (it always does). I called him in to the kitchen and he walked up and his eyes got so big and he smiled a huge smile and said: "Mom this is awesome! You are the best cake maker ever!! You are the number one cake maker and number two is Dairy Queen cause they make ice cream cakes!"  He said a little more than that..but I don't want to let it go to my head! Lets just say, he was loving his cakes and was VERY happy with them!! Which makes it so worth while!! I love making these for my kiddos!! :) 

Pasta!!!

Dominic loves pasta!!! I mean LOVES it!! So today is his birthday and I said, "Ok you can have whatever you want for breakfast. What would you like?" He says, "Pasta!!!" I say, "Ok what about for lunch?" He says, "Pasta!!!" "Ok Dom, what about Dinner?" You guessed it, "PASTA!!!" Today will be an easy day for cooking, but talk about Carbs!!! haha Happy Birthday Dominic!!!

Sign me up!

So we take Hunter to his potential Pre-School to show him the playground through the fence. He grabs the gate and says VERY enthusiastically, "Sign me up today!!" So hopefully that enthusiasm will continue when school starts!

Sorry, I cant go there!

When looking at a picture of his potential Pre-school, Hunter says to me, "Well I cant go there! That slide is huge and Ill fall off and die!" 

When I was a baby.....

I suppose it started because we all had stories of "when we were little" and Hunter, since he is still so little, didnt have any. So he began telling us many stories of "When I was a baby....."  and they usually involve something that has to do with the topic at hand.  They make me laugh because in his stories he does some pretty amazing things as a baby!! Just last night as we were coming home from our 4th of July Fireworks and having to swerve around the various fireworks people had in the road,  he shared another story.

"When I was baby and I drove home from fireworks, I had to drive all over the road because it was all jacked-up with everybody's messes." 

Im not drinking outta that!

So today we are sitting eating breakfast and I'm drinking milk out of a cup that the kids have used before. Its not a kids cup mind you, its just a regular cup! Hunter looks at me and said, "Are you drinking milk?......In that?" I said, "Yes I am!"  He says, "Well, I'm not drinking outta that cup ever again!" I asked him why and he says "Because you are drinking out of it, that's gross!"  Then Dom says, "She washes them so we can keep drinking out of the same cups silly!"  Hunter still looked pretty grossed out though!
