My kid is Gumby!!

Today we went to Pizza Hut with Hunter for lunch. We sat right next to a pinball/bouncy ball machine. We didn't have any quarters so he just kept going to it and looking at it. He opened the bottom, where the bouncy balls come out and discovered someone had left one in there. So of course he was SO excited. He played with the ball while he ate. Once he finished his lunch he went back to the machine and put the ball back in the little door shut it and re-opened it. Low and behold the ball was now gone!! He somehow had pushed the ball back up inside the machine. He reached his little arm in and was trying to feel for the ball. I went over and was telling him to get his arm out of there....he says, "Mom! I feel money in here!" He pulls his arm out and has a quarter in his hand!! Somehow, he had gotten his hand/arm up and in the quarter part of the machine!!! He puts the quarter in, plays the game gets two bouncy balls and says. "Yay!! Im gonna get more money!" Then proceeds to shove his arm in the hole again! This time, mom gets his arm, pulls it out and says. "No sir! We do not reach in and get money out! Thats not ours to get!"
I would have said more but honestly, I was in awe. I didn't know you could even get your arm in there far enough to reach the money!! Crazy kid!!  Talk about flexible!!

Wee Little Lad

Boy, its been awhile since my last post!! Today the boys were eating grilled cheese sandwiches and Hunter was pulling his apart and eating the cheese out.  Then he was playing with the bread, making Pac-Man with it to be exact.  Dominic tells him, "When I was a wee little lad I did that and mom got ticked!"
Then they started sharing stories of things that happened to them when they were wee little lads.
Crazy boys!! I mean Crazy Lads!!

The Furnace!

Dominic saw a can of Ravioli on the shelf and said:

Dom:"Oh man! I wish I could take that to school for lunch! I would eat that up so fast!"

Mom: " You can take it to school."
Dom: "How? It wont be warm at lunch and I dont like it cold. Oh man, its too bad you dont have a furnace to put it in."
Mom: "You mean a Thermos?"
Dom: "Yeah! Thats what I meant! A Thermos!!"
(I have never seen anyone so excited to get a furnace, I mean Thermos!)
And yes, he did eat his lunch up and enjoyed it warm!! :)

Does Face Cream Really Do All That?!

We saw one of Doms friends crying before school one day and I asked Dom about it after school.
He explained that his friend had forgotten his homework and he was upset about it.Here is the conversation that followed.
Mom: "Oh, ok. I was wondering why he was so sad."
Dom: "Yeah, he was sad but he got to walk with his mom to class so he felt better after that."
Mom: "Oh thats good. That was his Grandma not his mom though."
Dom: "Really? She doesn't look old enough to be a Grandma. She looks young."
Mom: "Yeah she is a young Grandma I think."
Dom: "She probably puts that stuff on her face to hide all her wrinkles so she looks young."
Mom: (chuckles) "You think so?"
Dom:  "Yeah, once she washes that stuff off she looks all old and wrinkled up and gross!"

Now thats some really effective lotion!!

Pizazz!

We were all outside doing some yard work. Hunter was busy digging holes and putting various objects in each one then filling them in with dirt. On one particular hole he was dropping in leaves, rocks, a worm and then he dropped in a Roley-poly. He was searching around and found a piece of wood then said, "Oh I'll put this in there too! This will add Pizazz!"  I started laughing quietly to myself and he begins a search for more stuff, then excitedly he says, "Oh! This will add even more pizazz!" He had found an extremely cool rock to add to the hole.  Now that is one hole with a lot of pizazz!!!

DISCLAIMER!

So if you read this regularly you might be wondering why there aren't that many Dominic posts here. You might be wondering if he says funny things like Hunter.  Well, he does! However, being an 8 year old he is very particular about what I can and cannot post here! He gets embarrassed easily and doesn't want some of the things he says where people can read them!
I understand, but I sure wish I could post more of what he says because he really does come up with some cute things!!

Big legs

Hunter was looking at his legs intently and then he looked over at mine and said, "Mom let me see your legs." So I sat next to him. He looked down at my legs and says, "Yup those are some pretty big legs mom." Then he nods and says, "Yup, those are real legs for sure!"  Then he looks at his legs again and says, "Yeah, I have real legs too."

Not quite sure what that was all about! :)
